About Me

I’m a lawyer by education, computer programmer by experience, and do-it-yourself-er at heart.  I have a passion for trying to figure out how to make things.  I’m addicted to computer software, beautiful paper, and all paintable and otherwise alterable surfaces.

I reject accusations of being “crafty” … I’m just someone who isn’t afraid to try things.  I believe the opportunity to create something beautiful far outweighs the risk of not succeeding.  After all, anything painted can always be re-painted.  And I have two delightful, ego-boosting daughters who think everything I make is beautiful!

I love to fill my home with personal and faith-inspired accents.  I believe a house should be so much more than the place a person resides.  It should also be a place that you’re always ready to return to; a place that inspires and lifts you up; and a place where guests never feel like guests.  A home should reflect all those things that define a person.  For me, it is my family, my friends and my faith.  I hope guests at my home don’t describe it by how it looks, but instead by how it feels.  I don’t wish for a home that is “well decorated” or “pretty” … but one that is “warm”, “cozy”, and “comfortable”.

I still can’t believe that our Heavenly Father granted me an opportunity to use Mod Podge every single day!  I humbly thank Him for filling me with the desire to create things that bring Him glory and honor.  I lift up a prayer for each person that receives one of my creations.  I pray that each piece holds a special place in someone’s heart and home.  And I particularly pray that the words of Truth written upon them will bring you closer to Him.
